Position: Support to Food Services/Dishwashing

Terms of Employment: Part-time, permanent (20 hours per week)

Wage: $19 per hour plus benefits

Location: Calgary

**Job Purpose**

The Support to Food Services position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining and kitchen areas. This role is primarily responsible for dishwashing and general kitchen support, while also assisting with customer service tasks such as clearing dishes and running food

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Clear dishes and trays from tables in a timely and professional manner.
- Deliver food orders to customers efficiently and courteously.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dishwashing areas.
- Sweep, mop, and perform general cleaning duties as required.
- Empty garbage and recycling, ensuring proper disposal.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, such as adjusting blinds and tidying dining areas.
- Support food services team during special events, which may require earlier or later shifts.

**Qualifications**:
Education and experience:

- Grade 12 preferred.
- Other courses or training an asset.
- Previous experience in food services or dishwashing is an asset but not required.

Additional Training:

- Food Safety and Sanitation Course
- WHMIS

Other skills:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and safety standards.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to adjust work schedules to support special events.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

**Working Conditions**:

- Working hours is 20 hours per week, 4 hours per day from 9am to 2pm Monday to Friday
- Work is in a fully operational kitchen.
- Shifts can vary.

**Physical requirements**:

- Job can be physically taxing.
- Must be able to stand continuously throughout an 8-hour shift.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable bending, climbing, reaching, stooping, and moving quickly.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour
