**Description**

As a Grounds Worker you will be responsible for the maintenance of the building grounds, common areas, and building exterior.
- _This position is for a summer term._

**Major Responsibilities**
- Ensure all sidewalks, parking areas, common areas, and landscaping is clear of litter, and outdoor garbage receptacles are emptied
- Operate a variety of small equipment (lawn mower, trimmer, hedge pruner, skid steer, sweeper, blower, etc.)
- Assist in irrigation system repairs and maintenance
- Respond to service requests and emergencies
- Portray a favourable image of the organization as a front-line contact with clients/tenants
- Perform regular inspections of the building grounds to ensure curb-side appearance is in accordance with contract and Edon’s standards
- Perform general maintenance tasks, including: changing light tubes, moving furniture, general clean-up services, installing pictures, minor furniture repairs, tightening door hinges, adjusting door swing, installing keyboard trays, assembling shelves and screens, painting, wall repair and other similar duties.

**Experience & Qualifications**
- Previous landscaping or maintenance experience considered an asset
- Good command of the English language (written and verbal)
- Strong customer care and communication skills
- Ability to operate small power equipment used in landscape maintenance
