**Role**
**We're excited to announce that we are moving and expanding our team ** We are looking for qualified Relief Client Support Workers who share our passion for growth. As a Relief Client Support Worker (CSW), you'll be an essential part of CAWES, working from a trauma-informed framework. You'll play a vital role in supporting both our clients and our Crisis Workers by providing critical resources, support, and referrals to women and children in crisis, ultimately improving their overall experience at CAWES.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide telephone support, assessment and crisis intervention for women seeking assistance. Completing Crisis Call sheets and Violence Assessment forms as required.
- Provide walk-in support, assessment, basic needs, and crisis intervention for women seeking assistance. Completing Walk-In sheets and Violence Assessment forms as required.
- Crisis intervention includes conducting comprehensive safety plans with clients, both formal and informal as needed.
- Completing Intake paperwork and provide shelter tours to new clients as required.
- Provide information and referrals as appropriate.
- Assist clients with storage and retrieval of medications when requested by the client.
- Answer phone lines and direct calls as appropriate.
- Answering, screening, and assessing individuals at the front intercom.
- Ensure and maintain resident confidentiality, communicating the limits of confidentiality during service provision.
- Maintaining accurate files and case notes, demonstrating appropriate, objective, professional standards of documentation in timely manner.
- Conducting an accurate and concise shift change report to oncoming shift.
- Distributing, recording, and replenishing bus tickets for clients as required.
- Assist clients with ordering cabs and providing cab chits as required.
- Packing-up, organizing and moving clients' belongings as required, with proper documentation on the Shed List.
- Contacting past clients regarding mail and belongings to be picked up with appropriate documentation.
- Responsible for keeping crisis desk and offices stocked with all necessary office supplies.
- Refilling the client binders with all necessary papers after departure.
- Keep all PPE, crisis response, first aid kits, and over-the-counter medications stocked, and document completed monthly inspections.
- Updating the day sheet and shift change documents as needed.
- Assist with housekeeping duties as required.
- Assisting clients with donations and basic needs items as required.
- Complying with all policies and procedure of CAWES to ensure the shelter functions smoothly and efficiently.
- Assist with training and mentorship to new staff, providing feedback to leadership team.
- Attends staff meetings as required
- Other duties as required.
- Attend seminars, workshops, and trainings as required.
- Participate in performance plan development and implementation.
- Participate with feedback in surveys and staff meetings to address what is working and what is needed, as needed.
**Qualifications**
**Education**
- Minimum grade 12 diploma.
**Experience**
- Experience with supporting survivors of domestic violence and/or human service field is considered an asset.
**Certification/Licenses**
- Criminal record check with a vulnerable sector check and child intervention record.
- First Aid Level C with CPR & AED is considered an asset, or willingness to obtain.
- ASIST is considered an asset, or willingness to obtain.
**Varying shift schedule**
- Day shift 7 am - 7 pm.
- Afternoon shift 9 am - 9pm.
- Night shift 7 pm -7 am.
A set number of shifts cannot be guaranteed, as shifts will be assigned based on operational demand and the availability of casual staff. Casual employees may be asked to work a variety of shifts, with an emphasis on nights and weekends.

- Must have the ability to work in a high-stress environment.
- Must work well in a team setting.
