Splendid Homes Corp. is a Luxury Custom Home Builder and Designer located in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Account Controller/Office Administrator to support our team of designers, project managers & project coordinators.

The Controller is responsible for planning and directing all accounting operational functions, which includes building and maintaining internal processes/systems, handling the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, being accountable for all financial resources, analyzing financial results, implementing operational improvements and providing financial guidance to drive the business through growth and initiatives. In this leadership position, the Controller plays a key role in the organization and is responsible for managing the administrative team.

**Main Responsibilities and Duties**
- Oversee a team and actively participate in all functions relating to full-cycle accounting.
- Work with project managers to create and maintain project budget. Use control tools to ensure projects remain on budget and warn for potential budget overruns.
- Ensure the accurate and timely preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements and reports.
- Ensure the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable and banking transactions.
- Ensure the accurate and timely processing of customer invoices.
- Prepare and file quarterly GST
- Prepare annual corporate tax books and collaborate with external accountants to file corporate taxes
- Manage required government and insurance remittances.
- Responsible for processing payroll and job costing.
- Maintain and improve financial controls.
- Participate in and support the managers with a variety of special projects to lead the organization in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Periodically monitor cash flow to ensure the financial health of the organization.
- Lead year-end review with external accountants.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Education and Experience**
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- An accounting designation is considered an asset.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Payroll and benefits administrative experience is an asset.
- Work experience in the construction industry is considered an asset.

**Skills and Abilities**
- Proficient in Quickbooks
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve using sound professional judgement.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills, both written and verbal, with internal and external stakeholders required.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize a heavy workload with multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong time management skills.
- A motivated, results driven individual who demonstrates initiative without direct supervision.
- Collaborative and supportive leader with the ability to motivate and influence the team with a positive and professional attitude.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Outlook and Excel (with the ability to work with large amounts of data).

**Salary**: From $50,000.00 per year
