Shape Foods, a leading flax processor and exporter requires a Controller, located in our Winnipeg office, to take over responsibility for all accounting & finance functions.

As a strong communicator and skilled financial analyst, the Controller will be responsible for budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting processes. The controller will also produce thorough financial reports for our shareholders and senior managers to help improve our operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth.

Responsibillites will include:

- Providing financial planning, budgeting and control procedures for our processing plant located in Brandon, Manitoba and finance office in Winnipeg
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines
- Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across the company, while adhering to national and local legal standards
- Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows
- Preparation of monthly financial statements
- Assisting with bookkeeping and data entry
- Supervising preparation of account reconciliations
- Supervise Accounts receivables including billing and collections
- Supervise Accounts payables entry and cheque printing
- Supervise Payroll function
- Yearend files preparation
- Other related duties.

**We are in the food manufacturing industry therefore a knowledge of manufacturing would be an asset**

**Qualifications**:

- Post secondary education and a Professional accounting designation
- 3 or more years of senior-level accounting and finance staff supervisory experience
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Experience in managing payroll, with focus on streamlining accounting processes
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Intermediate working knowledge of Excel including lookup and pivot table functions
