**Jr. Controller/Accounting Assistant Position**

Paragon is one of Winnipeg’s largest, privately-owned real estate companies specializing in the development of sustainable, purpose-built multifamily rental properties. With over 15 years of experience, Paragon boasts end-to-end real estate services including acquisition, development, construction management and long-term property management. Paragon currently has over 600M+ of projects under development.

**The Position**:
**Responsibilities**:

- **General Accounting**: Managing and processing day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank and credit card reconciliations and government reporting.
- **Budgeting and Forecasting**:Support the development of budgets and financial forecasts.
- **Accounting Administration**:Maintain an organized and accessible online filing system and assist with the collection of working papers and backup requested for audit.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
- Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software (Online and Desktop) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- A background in office administration and/or the construction industry would be considered an asset.
