- Custom homes
- Arches
- Architectural features
- Masonry landscapes
- Fireplaces and chimneys
- Structural masonry
- Masonry repairs and restoration
- Masonry cleaning
- Read blueprints and build to a high standard of quality and accuracy - Experience working on scaffolding
- Supervise and lead other masons, apprentices and laborers
- Physically capable of handling heavy loads, standing for long periods of time, crouching
- 10 years’ experience working with brick, stone, block and are able to build both veneer and multi-wythe, load-bearing cavity walls.
- G class license or equivalent
- Provide a driver’s abstract
- 5 years in a management role

**Experience**:Minimum of 5-years’ experience as foreman role and 10 years as a mason.

**Certification**:Red Seal Mason Certificate or equivalent experience **Job Duties**:

- Ensure all sites are safe, organized, and productive
- Personally use PPE and ensure all other personnel are also using it when needed.
- Organize all necessary labour, materials, tools, and equipment to efficientlycomplete the project(s) assigned to you.
- Review job information such as drawings, schedules, costs, etc. as required
- Act as a liaison between owners, clients, and other trades
- Ensure all work is done to a high standard, maintaining the Johnson Playfairquality standard.
- Continually review work practices with crew members to improve efficiency.
- Prepare and lay bricks,stone, concrete blocks, structural tiles, and othermasonry units.
- Reviewing crew members quality of work and making corrections asrequired(foreman)
- Lead by example in workmanship
- Make sure work is completed in a timely manner and deficiencies arecorrected as soon as possible
- Daily clean-up of job sites and good housekeeping practices.
- Quality control on materials and tools prior to the start of a job site.
- Maintain Johnson Playfair job site standards while conducting on-going workto avoid damage or unnecessary delays in project timelines.
- Returning all tools, equipment, and materials to the shop when complete ora delay in a project has occurred.
- Managing personnel on a day-to-day basis which includes communicating for schedule changes (start & end times)
- Ensuring crews properly use the timesheet software to punch in/punch out
- Follow company procedures & policies, Safety, and time managementprotocols.
- Communicate personnel feedback with management
- Review employee performance with management for yearly employeeevaluations

**Location(s)**:Various locations in the Greater Toronto Area
**Salary Range**:$45.00 - $55.00 per hour
