Bartender (Re-locate to Port Renfrew, B.c)

**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bartender to join our team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area. **Duties**:

- Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Take drink orders from customers and provide recommendations
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including restocking supplies
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Engage with customers, answer questions, and address any concerns or complaints
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as a Bartender in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of mixology techniques and drink recipes
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to handle cash transactions and operate a point-of-sale (POS) system
- Basic math skills for calculating bills, tips, and inventory
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively

As a Bartender at The Renfrew Pub, you must have a passion for the bar industry. This includes a drive to craft quality cocktails and thrive in a busy environment. Our bartenders are an extension of the management team. Integrity and the ability to be a leader is a must.

**General Responsibilities**:

- Greeting guests, seating, presenting menus, menu knowledge,
- Delivering food/drinks, maintaining and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Anticipating and attending to guests' needs with genuine and caring service.
- Crafting cocktails, pouring draft and servicing the well with passion.
- Keeping a keen eye on the happenings of the restaurant and assisting management in ensuring a smooth service.
- Keeping up with product knowledge with the ability to recite current offerings.
- Polishing glassware.
- Maintaining the bar and associated areas in an organized and productive manner.
- Responsible for opening/closing duties and ongoing side work.
- Performs other tasks/projects as assigned by management.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Minimum 1 year tending a bar in a fast past environment.
- A solid knowledge of spirits, beer, wine and cocktails.
- Be able to craft a cocktail with the understanding of balance of ingredients.
- The ability to work in a customer facing role.
- Must be a leader that posses the drive to better themselves and the people around them.
- Be able to multi-task and maintain a professional and upbeat demeanor under pressure.
- Must be responsible and trustworthy to succeed at opening and closing the bar in the absence of management.
- Valid alcohol and food handler's certifications.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Able to read, write, speak and understand English well.
- Must be able to work quickly and efficiently.
- Physical requirements: walk or stand for long periods of time, bending, lifting up to 25kg. Be able to hear, speak and see without impairment.

**Salary**: - $16.75 + tips

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Seasonal
Contract length: 5-6 months

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- serving: 1 year (preferred)
- Bartending: 2 years (preferred)
