We’re seeking a **creative, hands-on, and sales-driven Design Consultant** with an **interior design or decorating background** to join our growing team. If you’re passionate about design, thrive on client interaction, and enjoy seeing your vision come to life, we want to hear from you.

**Responsibilities**

As a Sales & Design Consultant, you will:

- Collaborate directly with clients to assess their design needs, preferences, and budgets.
- Conduct in-home design consultations and site measurements.
- Create preliminary space plans and provide material and product samples.
- Present product and design proposals effectively to clients.
- Provide accurate project estimates and input orders/quotes into the system.
- Communicate proactively with clients to ensure understanding of product selections, installation processes, warranties, and timelines.
- Coordinate with installers, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and resolve any issues.
- Engage in both inside and outside sales activities — upselling products and services as appropriate.
- Manage ongoing client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Implement merchandising strategies to optimize showroom presentation.
- Network within the community to build relationships and drive business growth.

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Diploma or certificate in **Interior Design** or **Interior Decorating**:

- Minimum **2+ years of sales experience** in flooring, renovations, or a related industry.
- Proficient in **SketchUp**, **CAD**experience an asset.
- Strong understanding of renovation and construction processes.
- Excellent **communication, negotiation, and customer service** skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft office
- Ability to read blueprints and take precise site measurements.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong math and computer skills for pricing, estimating, and financial transactions.
- Positive attitude, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
- **Valid Driver’s License and access to a vehicle** (required).
- Multilingual abilities are an asset.
