Scratch Coding Instructor for Kids

At Cuddles Learning, we believe that every child has the potential to become a creator, innovator, and problem solver. We are dedicated to empowering the next generation with coding skills, and we use Scratch as the foundational platform for our young coders.

**Role**:
As a Scratch Coding Instructor, you will guide, mentor, and inspire kids between the ages of 6-13, helping them discover the joys of coding. You'll be their compass as they navigate the world of Scratch, creating projects, animations, games, and more.

**Responsibilities**:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons on Scratch coding tailored to the age group.

Monitor student progress and provide feedback and support as needed.

Foster a fun, collaborative, and inclusive learning environment.

Collaborate with other instructors and the curriculum team to enhance and update lesson plans.

Stay updated with the latest Scratch updates and coding best practices for kids.

Attend regular professional development sessions and staff meetings.

**Qualifications**:
Previous experience teaching kids in the specified age group.

Proficiency in Scratch or other visual programming languages.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A passion for coding, technology, and education.

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Computer Science, or related fields is a plus.

Background check required.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Markham, ON L3R 8X4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- teaching: 1 year (preferred)
