**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR (Please read thoroughly)**
A Program Supervisor that has made a commitment to the implementation of quality care. We are looking for a Program Supervisor that is serious about their career in the Early Childhood Field and has dedicated themselves to growing and evolving as Early Childhood Educator. We require a Program Supervisor with experience working in a Toronto-based Not for Profit Centre and who have implemented programs using the Assurance Quality Improvement (AQI) and How Does Learning Happen (HDLH). Our Centre is extremely unique in our approach to meeting the individual needs of each child therefore, we require RECEs that are committed to the execution of proper documentation and observation taking.
**Description of Specific Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Ensuring the day-to-day operations are conducted to Ministry of Education standards as per the Child Care Centre Licensing Manual
- Overseeing staff, students, and volunteers
- Actively participating in the training and development of staff and classroom programming
- Ensuring that center Policies and Procedures are adhered to at all times
- Leading staff meetings in a manner that reflects a thoughtful, committed ideology, and best practices for children
- Monitoring and updating website information, Himama communication, enrollment and waitlist information
- Overseeing and managing cleaning service and kitchen operations
- Staff scheduling and payroll reporting
- Managing all staff and children’s files
- Complying with all daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual licensing requirements
**Mental and Physical Demands**:
- May be required to lift up to 50lbs
- Required to move from sitting to standing often, including floor to standing
- Required to be aware and attentive in a fast-paced environment where children’s safety is priority
- Required to exercise a high level of patience
**Special Conditions**:
- Ministry of Education approval for supervisory role
- Registered and in good standing with College of Early Childhood Educators
- Vulnerable Sector Check
**Details**:
- Permanent, full-time position
- Reporting to: Executive Director
- Paid time off inclusive of vacation, sick, and personal days
The Program Supervisor in our centre must have excellent knowledge of proper implementation and execution of the AQI, CCEYA and extensive working knowledge of Reggio Emilia theory and proper Pedagogical practices
The Program Supervisor must be comfortable taking responsibility for the Centre as a whole. Must be comfortable delegating to team members and able to work alone.

- ECE Diploma and CECE registration
- _**MUST**_ **have a minimum of six (6) consecutive years **of demonstrated proficiency in child care standards of practice in a licensed child care setting
- _**Proven track record of high AQI scoring in previous position**_
- _**Proven track record of leadership role**_
- MUST have extensive knowledge of the AQI, HDLH and CCEYA
- Proven track record of running a succesful classroom using the AQI, HDLH and CCEYA
- Promotes ethical practices of the CCEYA and AQI
- Above average ability to work independently, multi-task, time management, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal/written)
- Anticipates and is responsive and responsible to address issues and concerns at work
