Angelic Treasures Christian Daycare is a Franchise with 6 locations all over GTA. At the moment, Angelic Treasures at the North York location is a private ministry-licensed daycare and is family owned and operated daycare.

The North York location is located in a commercial corporate building. The daycare has 6 classrooms with capacity of 89 children and employs 21 teachers and staff. The daycare has three playgrounds: infant, toddler and preschool.

The food for children at North York location is catered by Wholesome Foods.

**Summary**

A Supervisor of a daycare ensures the facility is a safe and fun place for children to learn. They are tasked with a wide variety of responsibilities, including managing staff, interacting with parents, and marketing and financial duties. They manage the daily operations of the daycare and report to the Director.

They enjoy working with children and want to provide the students at the daycare center with the best possible experience.

**Skill Set**

A daycare supervisor must be kind, patient and loving, as they spend most of their days working with young children. They must be a strong leader, with the ability to manage a diverse group of children. It is important that they are an effective communicator, as they will be interacting with both parents and children daily. They must be skilled at CPR, first aid and other routine emergency treatments. It is also imperative that they are very organized, reliable, detail-oriented, trustworthy and responsible.

**Eligibility**
- Must be able to legally work in Canada
- Minimum 1 - 5 years of experience of managing a centre in a Supervisory role.
- Thorough knowledge of Ministry licensing requirements of the Child Care and Early Years Act, of the City of Toronto and of Toronto Public Health (TPH).
- Vast and deep knowledge of the Daycare Licensing Manual
- Education: Should have Early Childhood Education Diploma
- Current RECE and member in good standing in the College of Early Childhood Educators, Ontario or currently registered in an accredited ECE program leading to an RECE
- Clear/no relevant information from a Vulnerable Sector Check (current within 3 months)
- Must be up to date on all required immunizations
- TB Current
- Current Standard First Aid
- level C with CPR and AED certification
- Well-versed in How Does Learning Happen Elect Document
- Strong administrative skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Google docs, Google sheets and Web based software
- Excellent command of the English language both oral and written
- Preferred but not an ASSET: Bilingual capacity (French and English), Active in the RECE community with close ties to current events (professional development), Bachelor’s Degree in Child studies or Early Childhood Education (or equivalent), Food Handler’s Certification
- WHIMIS Certificate completed, Experience with Special Needs
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and be flexible
- Must be a team player and be able to effectively collaborate with staff, families, director

**Key Areas of Tasks and Responsibilities**
- **Enrollment**:

- Maintain the current daycare enrollment and ensure all families needs are met
- Consistently communicate with parents to retrieve feedback and increase referrals
- Build on to future enrollment by being on top of the waitlist
- Design an “Amazing Experience Tour” for potential future families showcasing the daycare’s strengths and quality
- Answer inquiries for the centre, booking tours and increasing enrollments
- For current enrolled children, ensure all children have proper paperwork on file, including their health information, allergies, details of any medical conditions they suffer from and authorization from the parents stating who is allowed to pick the child up from the facility
- For new families, ensure the orientation week is done effectively: welcome package is provided, keycards are given, teachers are informed about the new child so they help them settle in the first few days and their cubby area is prepared in advance
- **Teachers and Staff**:

- Ensure high retention strategies for current staff
- Provide continuous feedback of Staff performance on assigned duties and responsibilities
- Ensure staff implement and adhere to Centre policies and procedures to optimize programs
- Train, coach and mentor staff to increase educational components
- Motivate and boost staff morale
- Train the teachers and staff for children who have allergies
- Hire new staff, ensure effective onboarding, provide training, and ensure the new hire have all credentials
- Ensuring all staff CPR/First Aid is updated regularly, professional development plans and Performance reviews are completed
