Applications without completed questionnaire will be rejected.** Milestone Millwork is currently recruiting a **Skilled Finisher/Spray Person**. Compensation is dependent on experience and qualifications. We have recently transitioned to water-based paints, reducing our impact on the environment. We have also added a spray line to our shop, creating a better flow of parts to our finishing department. Some parts will still be required to be sprayed by hand. To be considered for this position, you must possess experience in the woodworking industry, and a minimum of 3 year spraying experience. **CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS**: - Required experience - Exceptional attention to detail - Knowledge of specialty finishes and different types of woods - Smooth, shape, and touch-up surfaces to prepare them for finishing, using sandpaper, steel wool, chisels, sanders, or grinders - Ability to work with a team to accomplish production goals **RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (not limited to)**: - Punctuality is a must. Shop hours are Mon-Thu 7am-5pm, Fri 7am-12noon. Some flexibility available, but must be approved through shop foreman or owner. - Responsible for wearing any required protective gear, including but not limited to, CSA approved footwear (not supplied), masks (supplied), ear plugs (supplied), eye protection (supplied). - Responsible for maintaining paint equipment including all spray guns, tips and lines and changing paint booth filters as needed. Booth and finishing area must be kept clean. Maintenance records must be kept as per ministry guidelines. - Maintain organization to ensure that job orders stay together, and ensure all carts and parts are labeled - Keep detailed notes of individual jobs to ensure colour selections, matches and mixing techniques are on record for future needs - Maintain supplies and materials by keeping track of stock, and ordering required products before jobs make it to production. - Ability to maintain the demands of production, have excellent time management skills, and ability to multi-task - Interest in expanding your knowledge by keeping up on industry trends - Moderate lifting to be expected - **TO BE CONSIDERED, a People Best Questionnaire is required to be completed**_: _ Please follow the below log in instructions and complete each question one at a time.
