Dental Receptionist

Boyce Dentistry is a well-established family centered solo practitioner office in St. Catharines. We strive to put patients and their families first providing excellence in care for all their dental needs. We are a fast-paced, team-centered, 6 operatory office. The office is located in central St. Catharines close to the 406, has free on-site parking and is accessible by public transit.
We are seeking a friendly, collaborative, and professional _Dental Receptionist_ to complement our caring team. The dental receptionist will serve as the initial point of contact for new and returning patients of the practice. They will be responsible for all duties associated with the administrative functions of the office. In order to be successful in this position individuals will be required to complete all duties in a timely and professional manner. Experience in a dental setting is strongly preferred, and a dental administration certificate is an asset.
**Qualifications/Requirements**:
Professional, Reliable, Responsible, Dedicated
Proven experience in a dental receptionist role
Experience with dental office procedures
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks
Familiarity with electronic charting, dental insurance billing, standard dental codes and medical terminology
Strong attention to detail, organizational and administrative skills
Strong English language communication skills (oral and written)
Comfortable interacting with patients in person and over the phone
Maintain patient confidentiality
**Preferred**:
Dental administration experience or general dental experience
Certification in office administration or medical administration is an asset
**Duties/Responsibilities**:
Greet patients in a professional and welcoming manner
Scheduling, rescheduling and cancelling appointments as needed
Filling cancellations in a timely manner
Maintain accurate, concise patient electronic records
Process billing and collecting payments as needed
Verify insurance information
Address patient inquiries and concerns over the phone and in person
General office duties, phone, filing, faxing and photocopying
Work exceptionally well in a team environment
Other duties as required
**Hours/Compensation**:
Full and part time available
Beginning part time approx. June 1st with the possibility of full time in September
Monday-Friday
Competitive remuneration dependent on experience
