Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the Controller will be responsible for the complete accounting cycle including:

- Manage and oversee the accounting functions and team
- Monitor the general ledger accounts and report variances
- Maintain and monitor tax compliance, tax filing, and reporting
- Prepare monthly and quarterly profit & loss reports
- Analyze and effectively communicate profit and loss reports and other accounting concepts and updates to management
- Work with department heads on budgeting and planning
- Collaborate with the department head of Sales and Acquisitions to manage acquisitions and cashflow
- Review and approve monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation
- Prepare monthly cash flow reports
- Manage annual year end audit including the preparation/review of working documents to external auditors
- Assist in annual preparation and management of budgets as well as produce budget control reports monthly
- Prepare financial information for reporting
- Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information
- Assist with development of accounting policies which adheres to best practices considering the special nature of the company
- Assist with automation of accounting procedures

**Required qualifications and experience**:

- Experience as a senior accountant responsible for the full accounting cycle
- CPA designation required
- Professional working proficiency in both English and French (spoken and written)
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Knowledge of NetSuite accounting system is considered an asset
- Knowledge of Asana and GSuite is considered an asset
