As our business expands, we’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented **Bilingual**Health and Dental and Life Underwriter**to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their underwriting career to gain hands-on experience, learn from seasoned professionals, and contribute to meaningful work that supports Canadians’ health and well-being.
**Position Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with senior underwriters to ensure sound risk decisions and continuous learning.
- Provide responsive and professional service to internal partners and external clients.
- Ensure underwriting decisions comply with regulatory requirements and privacy standards.
- Stay current on medical and dental trends, treatment protocols, and underwriting best practices.
- Contribute to a positive team culture and help achieve departmental goals.
**Required Qualifications**:
- 1-3 years of experience in health and/or dental insurance underwriting (or relevant education in medical, dental, or insurance fields).
- Basic understanding of medical and dental terminology, anatomy, and treatment procedures.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Interest in pursuing industry designations (e.g., LOMA, ALU, FLMI).
