Are you passionate about student success and building strong partnerships within the community? Academy of Learning Scarborough Campus is seeking a dedicated and energetic Placement & Career Services Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting students through their educational journey by coordinating externships and helping graduates transition successfully into the workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, manage, and maintain externship placements for students across designated programs.
- Establish partnerships with local businesses and organizations to secure student placement opportunities.
- Serve as the main liaison between the college and host organizations, ensuring mutual alignment on placement expectations.
- Conduct student workshops and orientation sessions to prepare them for successful externships.
- Support students from placement onboarding through to completion, including tracking attendance and gathering required documentation.
- Assist graduates with career readiness and job placement support, including resume feedback and job referrals.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to verify student eligibility and program requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date reporting on placements and graduate employment metrics (KPI reporting).
- Travel to partner sites as needed to foster relationships and secure agreements.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in customer service, education, or employment services.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain external relationships.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working with multicultural student populations.
- Strong knowledge of Office Administration and Health Care sectors is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
- Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle is required.
- Recent criminal reference check (within 6 months).

Job Requirements:

- Location: Primarily in-person at Scarborough Campus
- Travel: Required to visit placement partners and attend external meetings (up to 50%).
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend availability.
