Requisition ID: 160882 Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture. **_ Purpose_** As a member of the Corporate Communications team within Global Communications and Social Impact, the Manager, ESG Communications plans, develops and delivers effective communications strategies to build awareness of the bank’s Social Impact and ESG Initiatives, including ScotiaRISE, academic partnerships, climate initiatives, and other community investments. Key responsibilities include driving internal employee engagement and external communications. **_ Accountabilities_** - Assisting in the development and execution of internal and external communication strategies and tactics, including positioning and key message development, stakeholder analysis, and coordination with other partners across the bank to advance strategic priorities and drive stakeholder engagement - Ongoing story mining to sustain awareness outside of major announcements - Sourcing and developing content for Scotiabank Perspectives, the bank’s owned content channel, for the website and for internal newsletters - Drafting of all written communications materials including press releases, scripts and speaking notes, internal social media posts, FAQs etc. - Collaborating with charitable partners for execution of communications strategies including engagement with media and preparing spokespeople for media interviews - Working with cross-enterprise teams and departments to help amplify bank-wide messaging - Planning and providing logístical support for internal events - Developing post campaign reports based on pre-approved KPIs - Issues management - Supporting broader corporate communications initiatives as required **_ Skills & Experience_** - Superior written and oral presentation skills - Strong organizational and project management skills, with meticulous attention to detail - Ability to balance multiple priorities and work well independently - Proven ability to build and maintain business relationships, including those with senior-level employees and executives - Problem solving/issues management experience - Comfort working in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment, with an ability to remain calm under pressure - Strong event and project management skills - Media relations and issues management experience - Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to take on tasks outside of core responsibilities - A commitment to curiosity, and professional and personal growth **_ Qualifications_** - Minimum 5-7 years communications experience, preferably gained in an agency or large multinational environment - Post-secondary degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience - Ability to work non-standard hours if required - Financial services sector and/or ESG experience is an asset - Fluency in French and/or Spanish is an asset LI-Hybrid Location(s): Canada : Ontario : Toronto Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
