As the Specialist, you will support the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) team, particularly environmental and social matters, and impacts. This position will provide project and administrative support in advancing Element’s ESG, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategies and programs.

A Day in the Life

ESG external rater/rankers/frameworks submissions (e.g., EcoVadis, ISS, UN, etc.), including:

- Support Element’s response to ESG questionnaires, which may include support with project management, data gathering and content development
- Wholly own at least one submission with a goal to improve Element’s score year-over-year
- Gain understanding of frameworks vs raters/rankers through on-the-job learning
- Manage all or portions of the submission process
- Build and maintain ESG data repositories and identify patterns in data requested across submissions
- Support evaluation of vendors, e.g., software for greenhouse gas inventory

Data gathering and analysis:

- Lead Greenhouse Gas (GHG) inventory project in partnership with third party vendor and auditor with oversight from ESG Project Manager
- Support projects related to the collection of internal sustainability data and metrics
- Support management of ESG Index within the Global Balanced Scorecard (BSC) metrics including monthly inputs for ESG, DE&I and CSR-related metrics
- Support ESG team in data analysis - interpreting and communicating the story the data reveals

Program management:

- Support ESG and DE&I/CSR leaders with program management such as:

- Implementation of new CSR tool
- Other ESG projects as assigned
- Meet regularly with key stakeholders to provide updates on projects, results achieved, obtain help and direction as needed as well as participate in other relevant meetings, as schedule permits

Strategy and client support:

- Develop knowledge of ESG effective practices and fleet sustainability
- Liaise with external parties as necessary to develop a thorough understanding of sustainability trends
- Ideate and collaborate with the team on ESG strategies and implementation
- Support and organize RFI/P responses and database for ESG, DE&I and CSR-related questions
- Conduct research on sustainability and other ESG matters relevant to the company’s or its clients’ industries
- Assist preparing ESG presentations and/or reports to a variety of stakeholders across the organization
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging
- Coordinate with partners to host forums and develop content

Administrative support:

- Business Resource Group (BRG) support
- Draft and post on internal social channels
- Maintain BRG shared mailboxes and access
- Train BRG leaders on how to utilize tools/resources
- Create BRG manual and update process guides
- Coordinate / support events as needed (registration, room reservation, AV, prep materials, notetaking, follow-up, etc.)
- Support BRG Hub (help BRG leaders input events, upload attendance and pull reports)
- Invoice and card processing/tracking
- Assist with ad hoc initiatives related to sustainability and ESG matters, as needed

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in sustainability, business, public policy or equivalent work experience
- Designation / recognition from a sustainability related program is ideal
- 1-3 years proven work experience in the sustainability related field, preferably in a consulting /client advisory role.
