Island Bagel and Bannock is seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused individual to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys engaging with customers and supporting a small, Indigenous-led business that celebrates culture and community through food.

**About the Role**

You will provide exceptional customer service while handling a variety of tasks, including processing orders, packaging baked goods, and assisting with catering pick-ups. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment for our customers and ensuring smooth operations.

**Responsibilities**
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their orders.
- Process payments accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Package and display baked goods and other products, food prep, cleanup.
- Provide information about our menu items, including bagels, bannock, and catering services.
- Ensure the front counter and seating area are clean and organized.
- Assist with catering order pickups and communication with catering clients.
- Support back-of-house staff as needed during busy periods.

**Qualifications**
- Prior customer service or retail experience is an asset but not required—training will be provided.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, professional, and able to work well under pressure.
- Availability Saturday and flexibility to take on on-call shifts during the week.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and change.
- Food Safe
