**THE ROLE: Construction/ Snow Clearing Team Lead**
To contribute to the high-quality execution of all our Enhancement and Construction services. To perform a variety of tasks (generally physical labor) to assist with the completion of landscape construction projects and snow clearing.

**Construction / Snow Clearing Team Lead Responsibilities**:
- Adhere to Health and Safety Policies
- Maintain Efficient Operations
- Maintains Construction, Horticultural and Snow Clearing Best Practices
- Ensures Service Excellence
- Works 44-55 Hours per Week
**The Results We See From Construction/ Snow Clearing Lead**:
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Maintain site safety and cleanliness
- Ensure safety of equipment i.e. inform Team Supervisor of required repairs
- Train and supervise safe operations of equipment
- Comply with all company policies and regulations
- Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations
- Always communicates any questions or concerns with the team
- Leads and supervises construction/ snow clearing team
- Completes LMN time management tool per Team Member/ Site
- Inspect sites for required work and materials necessary for project/ snow clearing completion
- Delegates required work
- Meets project timelines as directed by the Team Supervisor.
- Educate team and ensure best practices for plant material, approved installation methods and snow clearing
- Maintain tools and operate equipment properly
- Track inventory of equipment and tools daily
- Construction and snow clearing tasks are completed according to contracts
- Communicate with client as required
- Assigned duties as required
- Site walk around with teams to ensure project scope is understood
- Track project performance and take before, during and after pictures of construction and snow removal
**Preferred Qualifications & Skills**:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the landscape construction and snow clearing industry
- Valid G driver’s license and safe driving record
- First Aid training and certification
- Knowledge of current construction install and snow clearing techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Construction knowledge: hardscaping base preparation, paving stone, retaining walls, garden bed preparation, flower and shrub plantings and all other elements of the landscape construction industry
- Snow clearing knowledge: proper snow clearing techniques, knowledge of piling areas, site best practices, proper industry accepted de-icing standards
- Ability to manage a team and enjoys leading and training
- Planning and time management skills
- Effective communication and computer skills - must be able to carry out verbal instructions, read labels and signs, complete daily reports to office and/or clients
- Ability to work independently and be a problem solver
- Operates a variety of equipment including excavators, bobcats, tillers, sod cutters, chain saws, drills, laser level, snow clearing equipment etc in a safe and responsible manner
- Maintains proper certifications for operation of equipment
- Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks
- The ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

**HOURS OF WORK & WORKING CONDITIONS**
In the summer we run Monday thru Friday with varying shifts ranging from 6:45 am to 5:30 pm and may work up to 2 Saturdays per month. The workload is heaviest starting mid-April to July and in November. Shifts change based on the weather in the winter.
