**Works Daily with**: Garden City Groundskeeping Ltd. + SYNLawn Toronto Artificial Grass

**Construction/ Snow Clearing Team Member Role**: To contribute to the high-quality delivery of construction and snow clearing service. To perform a variety of tasks (generally physical labor) to assist with the completion of landscape construction projects and snow clearing. Ensure company image is presented to customers and the public in a professional and courteous manner.

**Construction / Snow Clearing Team Member Responsibilities**:

- Adhere to Health and Safety Policies
- Preparation for Construction Projects and Snow Clearing
- Conduct assigned tasks safely and on time
- Keep tools and site clean and organized

**The Results We See From a Construction/Snow Clearing Team Member**:

- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Comply with all company policies and regulations
- Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations
- Always communicate with your team if you have any questions or concerns
- To load and unload materials, tools, and equipment safely and ensure safe tie down in trailers
- Transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, carts, dollies, and hand lifting/carrying
- Assist in excavation and base preparation and material delivery as directed
- Load carry, move soils and aggregate in wheelbarrow safely
- Assist in planting, sodding, turf install and patios, per drawing
- Safe clean walkways and parking lots
- Snow clearing duties conducted as appropriate and agreed
- Safely operate various tools and equipment as directed
- Maintain awareness of all tools on site and trucks
- Aware of tool and equipment maintenance needs by conducting inspections, lubricating, and cleaning on a daily basis
- Assigned duties as required

**Preferred Qualifications & Skills**:

- A serious interest in the landscape/construction and snow clearing industry
- Ability to work outdoors and is coachable
- Ability to safely operate required equipment and snow clearing tools
- Effective communication skills i.e. listen and ask questions
- Desire to learn necessary skills to fulfill required tasks
- Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
- Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks
- The ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record

**Working Conditions**:
This is a full time, year round position. A mix of office work, site visits/supervision and interaction with clients are expected. In the summer we run Monday through Friday from 6:45 am to 5:30 pm and may work Saturdays.

**COMPENSATION**

This is an annual job with full time pay.

Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
