This position provides an exciting opportunity to join the First Nations Health Council (FNHC) Secretariat and support the FNHC’s governance and advocacy work; particularly, the implementation of the 10-Year Strategy on the Social Determinants of Health, engaging on the evolution of the FNHC within the BC First Nations Health Governance structure and the development of a principled approach to guide future health
- related legislation.

**Salary**: $125,708 - $147,891- $170,075 per year (pay range explained below)

**Hours**: 37.5 hours Monday
- Friday (core hours

**Location**: Coast Salish Territories of Squamish, Musqueam and Tsleil-Waututh Nations
- Metro Vancouver: Park Royal Office
- Hybrid -minimum 50% in the offices (Hybrid working is an option in line with the FNHA’s flex work policy.)

**About the role**
As the Director, FNHC Secretariat, you will provide leadership in the development, analysis, communication and implementation of the FNHC strategic plan, project initiatives, and engagement cycle of work. This includes: formulating strategy, providing advice and analysing processes in a manner consistent with FNHA philosophy, partnerships, and organizational design; ensuring cultural relevance of all policy work; effectively allocating resources to support the fulfilment of priorities; coordinating and collaborating with health system partners; and, supporting coherence among the scope of FNHC policies, plans and strategic initiatives. Additionally, you will lead the development and updating of the FNHA's strategic policy agenda to support achievement of the FNHC strategic plan and/or priorities. As a director you will oversee a team of advisors, senior advisor, and support community engagement support.

**About you**
To be successful in this role you will have
- **Education & Experience**
- University degree in health, political, and/or social sciences, business or public administration, health/public policy, leadership or relevant associated area, plus 10 years of significant, recent and relevant experience in the area of strategic policy preferably in the health field, including five years in progressively responsible leadership roles, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
- 5 years of experience in strategic policy analysis, development and implementation
- Significant, recent, and relevant experience within the context of First Nations health preferred

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.
Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.
The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
