**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Completes all administrative tasks pertaining to the house and the staff team;
- Supports and utilizes communication systems designed for employees and youth.
- Ensures that the residence operates in accordance with Residential Licensing Standards and Roots Youth Care Policies and Procedures.
- Responsible for the financial administration of the home.
- Ensure home maintenance is completed according to the provided schedule.
- Ensures that all Youth Care Practitioners are aware of and comply with all Provincial and Roots Youth Care policies and procedures.
- Ensures that all new staff members complete orientation training and orientation check list in accordance with licensing requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for resident families.
- Preside over and participate in meetings, develop house-specific treatment plans and company direction, and contribute to company-wide initiatives.
- Participate in required training and documentation.
- Assist with all policies and procedures relating to the health and safety of staff and adolescents.
- Is accountable for supervising all aspects of the interventions described for all youth
- Contributes with the referral, intake, and discharge processes
- Ensures that all documentation is clear, accurate, professional, and meets expectations.
- Provides mentorship and training / education to the staff.

**Salary**

$20.50 - $23.00 per hour

**Requirements**:

- Three years’ experience working in a group care program.
- A degree, diploma or certificate in Social Services, Human Services.
- Prior residential experience and knowledge of Manitoba Licensing Legislation are required.
- Ability to learn and display de-escalation and trauma adeptness
- Leadership and team management experience, strong interpersonal communication skills.
- The ability to function effectively as a team member, and a willingness to discuss and debate personal and organizational growth and development.
- Valid class 5 driver’s license,
- Valid First Aid/CPR Certification;
- Clear Criminal Record and clear Vulnerable Sector checks;
- Clear Child Abuse Registry and satisfactory Prior Contact checks;
