**Opportunity**
**Position**: We are seeking an experienced **Regional Manager of Volunteer Development** with a profound passion for volunteer engagement. This key member of the HR team will support all volunteer related activities within a specified region. This role works collaboratively across their region to support the animal centres, build community relationships and implement a robust volunteer engagement strategy aimed at providing care, comfort and compassion to animals in need.

Based out of our Provincial Office in Stouffville, On
**A Typical Day**
- Performing full cycle recruitment activities to increase our volunteer base
- Matching prospective volunteers with available opportunities
- Working across assigned communities/portfolios/departments to ensure volunteer, community and organizational needs are being met.
- Maintains Volunteer database and supports records management to ensure integrity of the data
- Ensuring that volunteers are set up for success through onboarding, basic training, and regular support from their staff partner
- First contact for animal centre staff on Better Impact platform IT issues and troubleshooting
- Responding to volunteer inquiries, provincial inquiries, and webpage inquiries as they arise
- Conducting audits of local volunteer program with animal centre manager and SHW leadership
- Provides program support to provincial foster program

**Do You Have What it Takes?**
- College Diploma in Volunteer Management, Human resources or equivalent
- CVA designation (preferred)
- 1-3 Volunteer management experience required
- 1-3 years of experience with volunteer recruitment
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player
- Area management experience an asset
- Personal experience volunteering an asset
