Program Support Assistant Volunteer

**Position Summary**

Program Support Assistant Volunteer provides support and assistance with the implementation of various activation programs within a group setting. The Program Support Assistant Volunteer is also responsible for taking an active role in the development and implementation of new programs, quality improvement initiatives, and working with staff to ensure the program guidelines are followed.

**Responsibilities**

Assist the Program Team with activity preparations (E.g. supply set-up, clean up etc.).
Assist members with program tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the activity program.
Assist with outdoor activities (E.g. outings).
Complete tasks as assigned and report to the immediate staff.

**Requirements of Role and Screening**:
18 years of age or older.
Fully vaccinated.
An active interest in helping individuals with disabilities in a compassionate, understanding and patient manner.
Demonstrated dependability, reliability, initiative and flexibility.
Able to attend additional training.
Satisfactory Volunteer Application process includes Vulnerable Sector Screening

**Commitment**:
Monday to Friday 3 to 4-hour shifts or as assigned.
Minimum commitment of 6 months.

**Benefits**:
Reference letter upon completion of 50 volunteer hours.
Eligible for our volunteer recognition programs.
