**Project Overview**

The Coordinated Access System (CAS) Team Lead will collaborate with The Affordable Housing Association of Nova Scotia **(**AHANS) (as the CAS Lead Agency), and community partners to enhance strategies and approaches associated with CAS participation in HRM. The CAS Team Lead will work with direct service (front line) staff involved in transitional and supportive housing, to ensure they are trained in best practice service delivery, ensure data is being entered and updated consistently and frequently, and ensure the data entry is monitored for quality and compliance.

**Role of the Coordinated Access System (CAS) Community Team Lead**:
The CAS Team Lead will work closely with AHANS Reaching Home and CA staff as well as the HRM CAS Governance Committee (when relevant) to complete the following activities:

- the provision of forward-facing Coordinated Access activities in community - support front line staff in completing and updating BNL intake; support partners in identifying and activating strategies to re-find and update the status of BNL clients effectively and efficiently; promote the use of HIFIS modules to capture required homelessness/housing status, contact information, etc.; identify recommendations to improve BNL update processes; BNL Case Conferencing approaches; etc.
- the identification of scenarios where local and provincial processes are circumventing community-approved Coordinated Access procedures and policies with a focus on mitigating risks in a proactive, community-based and client-centered manner.
- identification of enhancements to the CAS components in HRM such as access points, assessment processes, prioritization, matching and referral processes

**Key Deliverables**:

- Quarterly summary reports of CAS activities in HRM to support local community partners and the CAS processes and procedures in HRM
- Participation in HRM CAS Governance Committee meetings and the provision of regular updates (5-10minute verbal update) to this table.
- Support AHANS and the CAS Governance Committee in the completion of annual Community Homelessness Report for Reaching Home.
