Assistant Property Manager

**Job Summary** As an Assistant Property Manager, you will support the daily operations of a residential property management company assisting in administrative tasks and tenant relations to ensure a well-maintained and efficient property. **Responsibilities** - Assist in managing a portfolio of properties, ensuring all properties are maintained and running efficiently. - Liaise with tenants to address issues, handle lease agreements, and ensure compliance with the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA). - Handle tenant inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally. - Conduct property inspections and coordinate maintenance and repairs as needed. - Maintain accurate tenant records, lease agreements, and other property-related documentation. - Assist in rent collection and financial reporting. - Provide regular reports to senior management on property performance, vacancies, and tenant concerns. - Utilize property management software and record keeping. - Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers for property maintenance. - Assist in marketing efforts to attract new tenants. - Participate in tenant move-ins/move-outs, ensuring units are ready for new occupants. - Respond to tenant requests and emergencies promptly. **Requirements**: - Minimum: Secondary School Completion. - University degree preferred, or college diploma. - Must read and write English fluently. - Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with tenants, contractors, and team members effectively. - Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA) is an asset. - Knowledge of construction or building maintenance is an asset. - A real estate license is an asset. - A positive attitude and a "to-do" mindset. - Strong administrative skills with the ability to multitask effectively. - Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a car for travel to various sites. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. **Experience** - Required: Two years customer-service/sales experience in a fast-paced environment. - Preferred: Residential property management experience. **Skills And Abilities** - Utilizing effective leasing/sales strategies. - Strong customer service orientation. - Intermediate understanding of MS Office. - Excellent presentation and communication skills. - Team player, works well with others. - Strong administrative and organizational skills. - Good multi-tasking and time management skills. - Portray professional image. - High stress tolerance. - **Special Requirements**_ - Be willing to work irregular hours as rental offices are open seven days a week, including evenings and weekends. - A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is preferred.
