**Overview of the Opportunity**:
The Supervisor, Accounting and Assurance will focus on providing high-quality accounting, assurance, and consulting services for clients.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Prepare engagement deliverables (financial statements, letters, and communications, etc.).
- Review, investigate, and correct accounting and assurance engagement files and financial statements.
- Review of work in progress of assigned staff members. Maintain high-quality control when reviewing work done by other team members; provide feedback to team members.
- Assist with technical accounting issues and act as a point of contact for audit and accounting assistance.
- Prepare/review corporate and personal tax returns.
- Communicate and maintain relationships with clients, Canada Revenue Agency, lawyers, and bankers.
- Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes.

**Qualifications**:

- Education_
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or related equivalent degree
- Completion of a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
- Experience_
- Minimum of four years’ experience in public practice
- Skills and Knowledge_
- Advanced accounting, auditing and tax skills;
- Experience with CaseWare, Caseview and TaxPrep considered an asset;
- A team player able to rally resources and work with others to meet the needs of the client;
- Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence;
- Strong interest in coaching and development, with a commitment to personal growth;
- Proven ability to deliver the full cycle of project management accountabilities;
- Superior verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines;
- Ability to work flexible hours;
