**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move packages and materials safely.
- Assist in the shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control.
- Perform order picking tasks using a warehouse management system to fulfill customer orders efficiently.
- Utilize basic math skills to verify quantities and manage stock levels effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and deadlines.
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Load and unload materials such as gravel, sand, soil, and mulch
- Operate equipment such as skid steers, loaders, and forklifts (training provided if necessary)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard and inventory
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages
- Handle cash, debit, and credit transactions accurately
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies

**Skills**
- Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes and shipping/receiving procedures.
- Experience with AS400 or similar warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Strong basic math skills for accurate inventory management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Previous experience in a yard, construction, or retail environment is an asset
- Ability to operate or learn to operate heavy equipment
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license is an asset

**Work Conditions**:

- Outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Seasonal peaks may require extended hours
