entire disability management process.

Working with both Employees and Employers, Jansen Claims Group specializes in disability claims management services.

We assist individuals with their WorkSafe and non-occupational (short term and long term disability) claims.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Plan and implement sound disability case management strategies
- Review accommodation requests and implement return to work plans
- Work collaboratively with Employers, Employees and the WCB to influence outcomes on
Workers’ Compensation claims
- Accurately record and explain detailed claim information orally and in writing
- Provide expertise in managing a varied and complex caseload in a fast-paced environment
- Mitigate risk to Employers/Injured workers through interpretation of legislation, policy and
medical reports
- Reviews WCB correspondence and determines next steps
- Ensures injured worker’s receive all benefits to which they are entitled
- Identify and pursue areas of cost relief, reduction and/or recovery
- Communicate proactively with Employers regarding any case management issues that may
impact the workplace and return to work planning.

**Skills**:

- Experience working with a carrier or other third party provider pertaining to disability files
- Experience with occupational disability files
- Workers’ Compensation legislation, regulations and policy
- Excellent documentation and time management skills, in being able to meet/exceed the
required turn-around times
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with clients
- Must be detail oriented and an analytical thinker
- Strong organization abilities is essential in order to achieve the service KPIs
- Demonstrated excellence in the decision-making process especially when under pressure
- Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex problems.
- Ability to work effectively, independently and in collaboration with others.
- Demonstrated ability to operate related office equipment and computer programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education and Experience
- 3-5 years in managing WCB cases and dealing with WCB policy
- Disability Management certification is an asset
