The Continuing Education department of Champlain College Saint-Lambert requires the services of an HOURLY INSTRUCTOR to teach the course of HELPING RELATIONSHIP (351-334-LA).

In this course, students develop attitudes, behaviors and counselling micro skills that are fundamental to establishing helping relationships with their clients. Students will learn to recognize and identify the affective dimensions of clients’ experience. In collaboration with the client, students will explore issues, identify and prioritize client needs and determine appropriate plan of action. Students will also be required to reflect and evaluate their counselling micro skills and make suggestions to improve their effectiveness.

**Required Qualifications**:
Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related discipline and 2 years teaching experience.
Teaching experience in special care counselling or a related program such as counselling, social work, or clinical psychology is an asset.
Experience in counselling is strongly recommended.
This course is taught in English; proficiency in English is required.
