Carrier Enterprise Canada, L.P. (CEC) is a joint venture owned by both Watsco, Inc., the largest HVAC and Refrigeration distribution company in the industry and Carrier Corporation, the leading global provider of healthy, safe and sustainable building and cold chain solutions. CEC proudly sells and distributes the Carrier, Bryant, and Payne brands of HVAC equipment, as well as a full lineup of wholesale parts and supplies and refrigeration equipment. CEC has 36 locations throughout Canada and an ecommerce platform.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a National Account Manager. Under the direction of the Chief Sales Officer and working closely with the Executive Vice President and Regional Sales Managers, the individual in this role will have responsibility for hunting and developing new strategic sales opportunities, managing, and strengthening current Key Account relationships and achieving quarterly and annual sales targets in alignment with the goals of CEC. The ultimate objective of the role is to maximize revenue, margin dollars and share of wallet at designated key accounts collaborating with Carrier Enterprise Canada (CEC) team members nationally.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Ownership of Key Accounts while working in conjunction with other cross-functional team members to ensure smooth execution of sales and sales opportunities.
- Develop and implement Key Account Plans, including company profile, CEC position and targeted action plan for growth.
- Meet / Exceed assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives at key accounts.
- Conduct quarterly business review meetings with Key Accounts to review progress toward account smart goals, identify opportunities and maintain proactive dialogue regarding existing and ongoing business.
- Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned accounts at all levels.
- Conduct training with Key Account personnel as required to grow CEC business.
- Maximize share of wallet within assigned accounts by maintaining up to date knowledge of customer purchases including identifying and creating value-add opportunities for CEC products.
- Solid product knowledge and expertise; keep up on new and future product developments within CEC and industry.
- Identify and maintain active new Key Accounts sales pipeline.
- Report regularly (monthly) to management on account status (revenue, margin, key initiatives, general update).
- Develop and maintain open lines of communication with the CEC sales organization, cross-functional department leaders, core management team, and parent company and subsidiaries for international accounts.
**QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university OR technical qualifications in HVAC or other that are well suited to success for the role.
- Working knowledge of HVAC equipment and industry knowledge and understanding.
- Minimum of 5 years of successful work experience with key account management.
- Organized, independent and persistent with a strong desire to succeed.
- Customer service mind set.
- Strong proficiency with digital tools (MS Excel) and remote selling technology (PowerPoint/Teams).
- Strong Presentation skills.
- Experience with CRM tools or programs.
- Proven negotiation, sales and leadership abilities.
- Open, transparent and positive team approach.
