**Program Coordinator, Peer Support**
**(Temporary, Part-time 20 hours per week)**

Youthlink is seeking an experienced Program Facilitator-Peer Support to oversee a three-year project funded by the City of Toronto. The project entails working with three community partners to implement weekly group programming for youth in Eglington East. The coordinator will plan and conduct holistic activities and workshops to develop skills, enhance self-efficacy, and foster connections among youth to address violence and conflict resolution while improving employment skills in the community.

**Highlights of What You Bring**
:
- Undergraduate Degree of Social Work, Child and Youth Care, Psychology or other relevant education and experience.
- 2 year’s experience working with youth in community settings (eg: schools, shelters, community centers) and in workshop coordination. Experience in program coordination, youth engagement and community development is essential.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively engage with youth, families, and community partners.
- Deep understanding of the strengths, challenges, and barriers faced by Black and racialized youth in Scarborough and the Eglinton East area.
- Cultural competence and commitment to addressing violence and anti-Black racism within the community.
- Ability to work within an Afrocentric framework and build culturally relevant programming.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate programs and collaborate effectively with MIC Check, YouthLink, and other local partners.
- Ability to work closely with Peer Support Workers to provide comprehensive support to youth.
- Familiarity with the neighbourhoods in Eglinton East, such as 400 McCowan, Gilder Community, and Eglinton East neighbourhoods and their resources is an asset.
- Knowledge of Anti-Black racism and the impact on youth
- Operates using a strong Anti-Black Racism lens is an asset.
- Bilingualism is an asset.
- Broad Record Police Check is required.
- $66,002 (to be pro-rated based on hours worked)
- 596 Danforth Road and various YouthLink sites
- The position holder must be able to lift tables and program materials when setting up community space and workshops on a regular basis.
- This position requires working Tuesday to Friday, daytime and evenings, with occasional weekend work.
