Inventory Planner

**Job description**

**Position: Inventory Planner & Cost Analyst**

**Reporting to**:Supply Chain Manager

**Location**:Statesman Missisauga, ON.

**The Opportunity**
- Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation as part of a demand planning function for Residential and Commercial lines.
- Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, evaluate forecast results.
- Utilize a collaborative approach by partnering with Sales, Marketing and Finance to understand demand forecast drivers.
- Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast to reflect updated sales and marketing input.
- Use and maintain Blue Ridge Planning system as the primary forecasting tool.
- Optimize the balance of system data, forecasting, lead time and other demand drivers to ensure inventory is aligned with demand.
- Maintaining appropriate levels of supply within the network by creating and optimizing purchases and/or internal transfers.
- Provide input to the supply planning teams to enhance inventory strategies on existing items, new products and product phase-outs.
- Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning.
- Collaborate with the Blue Ridge Support team to continually build a firm understanding of the system, update settings/configurations to optimize inventory performance and service KPIs.
- Manage Vendor Cost Mailbox - Validate and process Vendor cost updates.
- Assist with resolving queries sent to our Inventory and RER Mailboxes.

**Who you are**:

- Minimum 3 to 4 years of Demand Planning, Inventory Management and Purchasing experience.
- Post-secondary education in a technical or business discipline.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, dedicated to customer service.
- Able to prioritize tasks and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Well skilled in database management tools such as Microsoft Access, Excel as well as Word and Business Intelligence Reporting.
- Proficiency with Blue Ridge Planning Software would be an asset.
- Must be a Team player and Customer focused individual.
- Proven analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities.
