**Summary**
Reporting directly to our Abatement Manager, we are seeking an Abatement Team Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of Restoration Technicians, ensuring that abatement projects are completed safely, efficiently and in compliance with applicable regulations. This position regularly works in environments that contain hazardous materials such as asbestos and mould.
**Responsibilities**
- Supervise and delegate tasks for a team of technicians
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards
- Train and mentor Abatement Restoration Technicians
- Coordinate with Project Managers, clients, and other stakeholders
- Conduct site inspections and assessments
- Maintain accurate documentation and records, both electronic and written
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience in abatement or a related field
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards in relation to abatement work
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record (3 years prior)
- Ability to work overtime as necessary, at times with short notice
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and respond to 24-hour emergency calls when needed
- Some out-of-town work may be required (expenses paid by Company)
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check
- Certifications in abatement, asbestos removal, or similar are beneficial
