**Job Posting - Asbestos Supervisor**

JK Environmental Services seeks an experienced **Asbestos Supervisor** to oversee project execution, guide on-site crews, and ensure all work is completed safely and to the highest industry standards.

**Position Overview**:
As the Asbestos Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating and directing abatement activities on-site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, project specifications, and company procedures. You’ll be the go-to lead for containment setup, workflow planning, supervision, and quality control.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and lead asbestos and hazardous materials abatement activities (in accordance with OHS legislation).
- Set up containment areas, isolation zones, and negative air systems.
- Install and manage mobile decontamination units and hygiene stations.
- Direct crew members in constructing containment walls, walkways, and equipment setups.
- Position and maintain air filtration systems to ensure safe air quality.
- Perform removal techniques including spraying, scraping, and handling ACMs in accordance with regulations.
- Ensure proper waste handling, packaging, labeling, and disposal.
- Maintain documentation, safety logs, and compliance records.
- Promote a safe work environment at all times and reinforce safety protocols with the team.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum two (2) years proven supervisory experience in asbestos abatement.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate a team effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and professional conduct.
- Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting.
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Strong understanding of OHS regulations and industry best practices.
- Valid OH&S Asbestos Removal Certification.
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Drivers’ License and good driving record.
