**About the Opportunity**:
Under the general direction of the Assistant Manager, Maintenance and Operations, the Equipment Maintenance Technician performs a variety of skilled tasks (electrical/electronic, microcomputer controls, hydraulic) on systems such as sterilization/sanitization, dietary equipment, patient lifts and beds etc. These tasks include the preventative maintenance, repair, upgrading and installation of this type of equipment within the Nova Scotia Health.

**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Two-year community college Electronic Technician program, or a Red Seal Journeyman Industrial Electrician/Industrial Mechanic.
- 2 years related experience required
- Travel to other sites may be required, access to reliable transportation required
- Valid training in the following would be considered an asset: WHMIS, confined space awareness, fall protection, Arc flash, first aid, lock-out tag-out and infection control.
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

- Permanent, full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly

**Compensation and Incentives**:
$29.20 - $30.20 Hourly
