Marid Industries Limited is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in our Steel fabrication shop. The Maintenance team plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities. This position requires a solid background in industrial maintenance and mechanical repair, with a focus on keeping the shop's machinery and equipment functioning optimally in addition to site equipment.

What you'll do

**Responsibilities**:
**Preventative Maintenance**: Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines and equipment, including welding machines, saws, presses, cranes, forklifts, and other fabrication tools.
**Repairs**: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems across various equipment used in the fabrication process.
**Troubleshooting**: Quickly identify and resolve equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime in production.
**Inspection**: Conduct regular inspections of all equipment, systems, and facility infrastructure to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
**Safety Compliance**: Ensure all maintenance work is performed according to company safety protocols, OSHA standards, and best industry practices.
**Parts Inventory Management**: Maintain an inventory of spare parts and supplies and ensure availability of necessary components for timely repairs.
**Collaboration**: Work closely with the Production Manager and other staff to coordinate repairs and maintenance schedules without affecting production timelines.
**Facility Maintenance**: Assist with general maintenance of the facility, including the upkeep of lighting, plumbing, HVAC systems, and other essential infrastructure.
**Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work, including repairs, inspections, and parts used, to ensure compliance and track maintenance history.
**Training and mentoring**: As our team grows there will be an expectation to assist in training junior maintenance staff if applicable.
**Emergency repairs**: There will be the need for quick response times when there are emergency repairs needed to maintain production.
What you'll need

**Qualifications**:
Proven experience in industrial or mechanical maintenance, preferably in a steel fabrication or manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of welding machinery, fabrication equipment, and maintenance practices.
Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Basic knowledge of troubleshooting and repair for industrial machinery.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to perform repairs quickly and effectively.
Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations within an industrial setting.
Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks.
Comfortable working in a noisy and fast-paced environment with exposure to welding fumes and industrial machinery.
