Position: Yard Forklift Operator
- Monday to Friday

**Salary**: $18.00 to $19.00 /hour
Hours of Work: 7:00am to 3:00pm, plus overtime as needed to complete the day

**Specific Duties**:

- Order Marshalling
- General Cleanup, yard organization & stock put away
- Truck load planning to maximize deck space & weight capacities
- Loading & unloading inbound and outbound trucks
- Organized loading of multiple stop mixed load delivery trucks
- Yard cycle counting
- All other duties as required

**Qualifications & Knowledge**:

- Capable of working in a safe & organized manner
- Able to work successfully in a team setting as well as independently
- Proven ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines with out sacrificing quality
- Solid understanding of safe operating procedures in a lumber yard atmosphere
- Posses or previously held a forklift counter balance operator certificate. A current certificate is preferred
- Knowledge of and the ability to identify different types of standard lumber
- Familiar with height, weight & over all load capacity rules governed by the CVSE
- General understanding and experience dealing with different types of building materials would be considered an asset

**Experience**
- Experience working in a lumber yard loading mixed building materials would be an asset. For example, mixed lumber products, gypsum, insulation, roofing, pvc piping etc. all onto one truck.
- 2 years experience operating a counter balance forklift required
