**AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY**:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Community Safety & Well Being, the Coordinator will be responsible for on-site engagement, coordination, data collection, and risk identification at encampment sites across Brampton. While encampments will be a primary area of focus, the incumbent will also support other emerging community safety and well-being matters as they arise, ensuring a proactive and coordinated response to evolving municipal priorities. The Coordinator will work closely with multiple partners to facilitate effective responses at encampment sites and other community safety initiatives. This includes identifying risks, mitigating potential issues, coordinating restoration efforts, supporting data-driven decision-making, and representing, actively participating, and occasionally leading operational or strategic meetings about encampment sites or related emerging issues. The role will also require after-hours availability as necessary to address urgent matters.

**COORDINATION & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT**
- Conduct regular site visits to encampments and other identified community safety locations across the City of Brampton to assess conditions, coordinate support services, and engage with individuals and stakeholders.
- Act as a liaison between service providers, outreach teams, enforcement partners, and city departments to ensure coordinated responses at encampment locations and other community safety initiatives.
- Support logístical coordination at encampments and other high-priority areas, including scheduling outreach visits and facilitating the delivery of support services.
- Work closely with community partners to connect individuals to housing, healthcare, and social services

**RISK IDENTIFICATION & MITIGATION**
- Assess potential risks at encampment sites and other community safety locations, including safety hazards, environmental concerns, and legal implications.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure that encampment sites and other intervention areas meet safety and health standards, identifying urgent concerns that require immediate action.
- Coordinate emergency response efforts in cases where risks pose immediate threats to individuals or the surrounding community.

**DATA COLLECTION, STAKEHOLDER COORDINATION, ANALYSIS & REPORTING**
- Collect real-time data on encampment populations, service utilization, and environmental conditions, as well as other community safety and well-being issues and ensure this data is available on-demand.
- Maintain up-to-date records of encampment locations, site assessments, and intervention efforts, as well as emerging community safety matters and ensure these records are available on-demand
- Analyze trends, patterns, and best practices in encampment data and broader community safety data to inform policy decisions and resource allocation.
- Review and provide input on prepared reports to ensure data and analysis are captured accurately.
- Regularly report on data to multiple audiences.
- Coordinate site restoration efforts with multiple partners and/or applicable contractors following encampment interventions and other community safety operations, ensuring that areas are returned to safe and functional conditions.
- Work with municipal departments, contractors, and environmental agencies to support cleanup, sanitation, and land rehabilitation.
- Develop strategies for preventing future encampments and mitigating community safety risks in previously impacted areas.
- Work collaboratively with external agencies, including regional partners, non-profit organizations, and law enforcement, to align resources and interventions.
- Lead operational meetings with stakeholders to share updates on encampment activity and other community safety efforts.
- Support the coordination of multi-agency response efforts, ensuring clear communication and efficient service delivery.
