Transportation and Customs Compliance Analyst

Carter's inc. Canada is seeking a full-time Transportation and Customs Compliance Analyst. This is a great opportunity for a Transportation professional to build their career with one of the leading Global Children’s apparel brand.
- Collaborate with Freight Forwarders, vendors, and our Global Sourcing teams to ensure freight is moving through system accurately and efficiently
- Manage in transit visibility of shipments -from origin, ocean and inland modes to final delivery in the Transportation Management System(TMS).
- Analyze transportation cost and transit time to provide expertise on optimal supply-chain efficiency
- Provide analytical support
- reports and tools to the internal/external partners
- Supply Chain team, Procurement, Finance, Freight forwarder
- Continual improvement mindset leveraging both educational and professional knowledge. Identify, propose systems and tools and implement opportunities for improvements
- Analyze and action daily and weekly transportation reports to support inbound prioritization between DC leadership and Freight forwarders.
- Audit Customs documents and invoices for compliance with CBSA regulations
- Analyze B3 accounting to ensure correct HS duty rates have been applied
- The role will be work remotely with flexibility to work on site at our Cambridge Distribution Centre
**Qualifications**:
- Post-secondary education/designation in Supply Chain and Logistics will be given preference. For ex. CITP, CIFFA, CCS etc.
- Must have 2-3 years of International Freight Forwarding experience
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Supply Chain & Logistics in an operational and/or analytical capacity an asset
- Solid understanding and knowledge of the latest logistics and customs ERP systems, cloud based transportation systems
- intermediate to expert Excel skills a must
- Capable of producing high quality work under tight timelines
- Strong interpersonal skills oral and written communication
- Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Enjoy working both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with colleagues, associates, and clients
- Ability to effectively multi-task and work in fast paced, solutions driven environment
