Job description

**Respite Worker**

**Job Type**: Contract Position - Part time or Full time

We are looking for skilled respite worker who can provide the highest quality of respite care in accordance with GPS’s mission. The main responsibilities will be providing companionship, personal care and homework assistance to our clients.

This is a weekend and holiday care position.

**Key Responsibilities**

Working with clients in their home or in our centre to provide personal care

Supporting kids from ten years old to twenty years old with special needs

Assistance with homework

Facilitating participation in extracurricular activities, such as: art and craft, walking

Simple cleaning work

Complete any other duties as required

**Qualifications**
- Proven over one year experience working with kids
- Canadian citizenship or permanent resident
- Have a basic understanding of special kids
- Caring, hardworking and responsible
- Adherence to all company policies and procedures
- First Aid and CPR certification would be an asset.

Address:

- Home based: GTA area
- Centre based: Markham Campus

Schedule:

- Weekends
- Holiday

Part-time hours: 25-35 per week

**Benefits**

**Salary**: $16.00-$22.00 per hour
