Ajax, Canada Private Home Care Full time

Working in my home supporting special needs young man. This position would be best suited for a support worker looking for reliable part-time work hours of approximately 25+ hours per week. **This is NOT a full time position**. We are looking for a long term part time PSW/Caregiver.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and assist with the dinner meal.
- Engage in activities.
- Assisting with transferring from wheelchair.
- Outdoor activities weather permitted.
- Personal hygiene tasks.
- Prepare for the next days activities
- Attend to laundry duties
- Other responsibilities as they arise.

This position is **long term** **part time** Monday to Friday 2:30 pm to 6:30pm/7:00pm. Parent respite - occasional day/evening on a weekend and one week long respite (live in during respite vacation time). Flexibility with hours and availability is a plus. Desire to work long term in a private family home setting.

Qualifications: Designated in this field. Several years experience working with the special needs people. You are able to speak and understand English. Current first aid and CPR certificate. Pet friendly. Own transportation. Within the Durham Region is preferred. Not suitable for a student.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 25 per week

**Salary**: Up to $25.00 per hour

- Weekend availability
