**Position: Distribution Supervisor**

**Location**:Surrey

**Reports to**:Operations Manager

**Overview**:
The Distribution Supervisors prime objective is to execute and/or ensure all activities related to production and delivery within the RMC group of plants through a consistent understanding of processes and through interaction with people of various departments. The Distribution Supervisors spends significant time working with dispatch and teaming up with management in supporting various processes within RMC’s business. The scope of this position includes all activities necessary to improve the efficiency and/or effectiveness of all aspects relating to logistics and it’s reporting.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Safety_:

- Leads the business with the utmost focus on health & safety. Proactively implements best practices, engages with all levels of employees in this regard and ensures personnel are actively seeking out real time solutions to identified risks. Provides visible and felt health & safety leadership.
- Business Performance_:

- Drives for continuous business performance. Ensure customer satisfaction with excellent products and service quality.
- Manage to KPI’s currently established and create new ones
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports relating to KPI goals
- Manage day to day of Dispatchers,Plant staff and Drivers
- Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules, Managing employee hours (signing off payroll)
- Financial:_
- Improves margins through the right combination of product, services, strategic placement and cost reduction. Assists in preparing and implementing the annual financial budgets. Ensures optimal utilization of assets.
- Coaching & Mentoring:_
- Works closely with staff to develop a professional approach to managing the business. Conducts professional monthly meetings with clear agenda and priorities. Communicates company initiatives and pursues best practices. Identifies underperformance and establishes corrective action. Recognizes and celebrates successes. Develops and motivates staff.

**Relationships with Other Job**:

- Works closely with Quality Manager, Sales Manager, Operations Manager

**Qualifications**:

- Education and Work Experience:_
- Undergraduate degree in construction management, engineering, or business. A combination of a technical/business diploma and relevant experience would be consider
- Experience managing a team of employees would be considered an asset.
- Team player: have the ability to develop and maintain cohesive working relationships with peers and management
- Able to thoroughly analyze situations or processes from different perspectives
- Able to independently determine discrepancies in trends or numerical data, investigate and resolve
- Knowledge and Skills:_
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and resolve conflict effectively
- Solid working knowledge of computer programs.
- Good organizational and planning skills
- Strong team player with a positive attitude
- Self-motivated with the ability to independently direct the day-to-day operations and effectively make decisions.

**Salary**: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
