- Reporting to the Service Manager, Automotive Service Centre, the Automotive Service Advisor is responsible for managing customer relationships from beginning to end by advising and educating customers. The advisor is also responsible of assisting technicians.- Key Responsibilities:_
- Customer Service/ Service Advising-
- Ensure timely and high quality customer service.-
- Maintain and develop excellent customer experience and relationships-
- Greet and check-in customers entering ASC location Provide repair estimates and receive customer approval for work to be performed, finalize sales, and complete customer follow up next day-
- Recommend preventative maintenance and repair services to members/customers-
- Share product knowledge and technical expertise to build customer base-
- Review estimate and educate / explain work needed to be done-
- Maintain high sales performance and customer satisfaction (NPS / CSI)-
- Listen and accurately qualify customer requirements in order to offer the appropriate diagnostic, maintenance, or repair services to meet the Member/customer’s needs and/or budget-
- Provide all Members/customers with an estimated completion time and keep them informed of any changes in the quoted time-
- Maintain proper communication within the team. Provide accurate and detailed information to Technicians to assist in diagnosis- Operations-
- Follow all policies and procedures set forth by BCAA.-
- Achieve and continuously improve individual KPIs outlined by BCAA-
- Other duties assigned as operationally necessary.- Parts / Inventory Control-
- Assist in managing the flow of parts throughout the facility-
- Maintain proper inventory flow within location and ensure monthly inventory counts are completed-
- Perform shipper / receiver duties for all incoming parts into the facility- Safety-
- Contribute to the overall team safety culture by wearing PPE when in shop, escorting customers into shop with PPE and ensuring team is following all safe work procedures for work being performed in shop-
- Be pro-active to protect the environment and maintain compliance with all local standards-
- Ensure compliance with all environmental requirements and BCAA programs that meet or exceed governmental required standards- Acquires and maintains industry, product and systems knowledge-
- Maintains a working knowledge of all BCAA products, best practices, standards, policies and systems-
- Attends required BCAA and industry training courses-
- Keeps up-to-date with industry knowledge and competitor’s product offerings- Relationships:_- Reports to: Assistant Service Manager, Automotive
- External: Suppliers, AARS business partners, CAA and AAA
- Other: Other ASC Service Advisors, Other ASC Location Team Members, ERS, and People and Development and other internal team members- Qualifications:_
- Minimum Qualifications-
- Completion of Grade 12 and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the automotive field as a Service Advisor, Service Writer, or Automotive Parts Advisor-
- Ability to lift 50lbs, bend, reach, walk and stand for long periods of time.-
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills-
- Demonstrated ability to leverage analytical and problem-solving skills to meet and exceed sales goals and targets-
