BCIT’s **School of Construction and the Environment** is seeking a **regular, full-time (1.0**FTE**) Faculty**. The Faculty will serve as Program Head for the Construction Management Degree program, as well as some teaching. The Program Head role is for a three-year term with the potential for renewal.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

**DUTIES**AND

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- As a member of the faculty, you will have the rewarding and important role of being one of the leaders in an experiential learning environment.
- Encourages a positive work and learning environment.
- Fosters teamwork within the program area.
- Participates in program faculty/staff hiring and orientation.
- Advises and participates in student recruitment where appropriate.
- Liaises with industry and/or agencies to ensure the program gains recognition within the industry and to see that the curriculum reflects current industry practices.
- Performs other related work as may be required in the operation of the program.

**Qualifications**

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum five years of current and applied experience in the North American building construction industry; local Canadian experience is an asset.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree with eligibility for registration with a professional architectural or engineering association preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills.
- Previous teaching and/or educational experience is an asset.

**Salary Range**
- Salary Range: $65,045 - $113,545 per annum.

**Additional Salary Information**
- Salary prorated based on percentage and term of appointment. Salary based on education, experience and placement criteria as outlined in the Collective Agreement.
