As a Junior Accounting Clerk with Closets by Design, you will be learning from an experienced bookkeeper, processing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining detailed financial records, and making valuable suggestions that will impact the organization’s key financial decisions. **JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Collect and sort invoices and cheques
- Enter data, maintain records, and create reports and financial statements
- Process accounts receivable/payable
- Reconciliation of entries into the accounting system
- Use knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirements
- Gather and analyze financial data to uncover cost inefficiencies
- Determine standard costs and investigate variances with actual costs
- Support senior bookkeeping staff by performing any assigned accounting and clerical tasks

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- A College Diploma or equivalent work experience
- Must have a minimum of 6 months accounting/bookkeeping experience performing functions related to AP/AR
- Proficiency using QuickBooks software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
