**Job Summary**

Ultimately a hydrid work environment would be favoured, working from the medical office 2-3 days per week when patients are being seen in person, and flexibility to work from home on other days when surgeons are not in the office. There will be some variability from week to week, depending on the surgeon's hospital operating allocations. Flexibility on days that patients are not being seen in consult in the office is a possibility.

The initial period will be in person to allow the outgoing office manager to train to the duties appropriately.

**Responsibilities**
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage incoming calls and scheduling appointments
- Maintain ACCURO electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure accurate data entry
- Assist with clerical tasks such as triaging referrals, filing, optimizing scheduling, and liaising with hospitals regarding OR usage and wait list management
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their appointments, inquiries and concerns
- Arranging appropriate patient follow-up
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient care delivery
- Liaise with St Paul's Hospital for surgical booking and wait list management

**Experience**
- Previous experience in a medical setting is preferred, especially surgical booking experience
- Familiarity with electronic medical records system ACCURO an asset
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clerical processes is beneficial
- Experience in surgical office setting will be an asset
