**Position Summary**:
**This position does not require certification, however, prior legal or immigration experience is preferred.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate immigration processes including case initiation, case preparation and submission, monitoring progress, and follow-up on completion
- Provide case support to Senior Consultants and Lawyers
- Listens intently to the client needs to ensure that these needs are met and anticipating customer needs, offering pro-active advice. Remaining up-dated on industry events/circumstances that may be relevant to the client.
- Identify and advise Senior Counsel on key issues that may impact the immigration process such as travel plans, dependents, and medical records
- Work with colleagues and external service providers across the globe to deliver the best outcome for the client
- Effectively manages time prioritizing, identify and addressing critical tasks, while remaining flexible to changing priorities.
- Completes paperwork and assemble packages with no errors
- Effectively Communicate workload to Management and research to other teammates
- Possesses an intermediate understanding of various immigration categories
- Understands, interprets, and applies government regulations to immigration cases
- Document information in Newland Chase secure database in accordance with company protocol, ensuring data integrity and appropriate records retention schedule
- Provide data for company metrics and client invoicing
- Maintain strict client confidentiality, ensuring secure document handling and protection of client Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and all other data
- Complete all work in strict compliance with law, regulations, and company policies, supporting CIBT’s and Newland Chase’s strong ethical culture
- Stay current with immigration laws and requirements and industry best practice

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree with strong academic credentials
- Completion of an accredited Immigration Practitioner Program
- 2-3 years’ experience in immigration or related field; paralegal experience highly desirable
- Fluency, verbal and written in English
- Fluent, verbal and written in French an asset
- Exceptional communication skills
- Strong client service mentality
- Solutions-focused with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team

**WORKING CONDITIONS/LOCATION**:

- Office environment: exposure to computer screens, interaction with others in a remote office environment
- This position would be remote to start and transition to Hybrid once team is back in office
